During peak hours (typically weekday afternoons and early evenings), electricity costs 14¢/kWh, while off-peak hours (nights, weekends, and early mornings) drop to 12¢/kWh. That gap between peak and off-peak is the whole point of a TOU plan: shifting laundry, dishwashing, EV charging, and pool-pump runtime out of peak windows can cut 10–20% off your monthly bill versus the standard Price to Compare plan at ~13¢/kWh.
