NV Energy Peak Hours

What to Know

NV Energy's peak hours apply to customers on the Optional Domestic Service Time of Use (OD-1 TOU) time-of-use plan. During peak hours (typically weekday afternoons and early evenings), electricity costs 49.4¢/kWh, while off-peak hours (nights, weekends, and early mornings) drop to 9.1¢/kWh. That gap between peak and off-peak is the whole point of a TOU plan: shifting laundry, dishwashing, EV charging, and pool-pump runtime out of peak windows can cut 10–20% off your monthly bill versus the standard Standard Electric Rate plan at ~11.5¢/kWh. Peak hour schedules can also vary by season, so check your bill against NV Energy's current published schedule.
